Main benefits
  • Designed as a complete wastewater sump for below ground installation, and for fitting with selected pumps from the Piranha and AS ranges
  • Simple pump installation and maintenance—no need to enter the sump
  • Pump seals automatically onto the discharge line when lowered down guiderail onto the pedestal base, irrespective of the inflow or direction of the discharge lines
Main applications
  • Sewage and wastewater pumping in remote locations
  • Commercial waste pumping
  • Grey water pumping
  • Rainwater pumping to storage tanks
  • Connecting off-grid communities to the sewerage network
Main design features
  • A choice of pumps depending on the application:
    • Submersible grinder pump type ABS Piranha with shredding system hydraulics can cut wastewater containing solids and pump it through small diameter discharge lines from 1¼”
    • Submersible wastewater pump type ABS AS with Contrablock or vortex hydraulics for pumping clear water, wastewater and sewage with large solid particles present. Up to 60mm solids passage
  • Equipped with a guiderail and pump pedestal for easy installation and maintenance
  • Synthetic, corrosion-resistant tank in accordance with EN 12050-1. Supplied as standard with plastic lid and installation kit including ball type non-return and shut-off valves
  • Four inflow ports (1 x DN 100, 3 x DN 150) for DIN push-on connection. One port DN 70 for venting and use as a cable duct
  • Stainless steel discharge pipe with external thread (1¼" for DN 32 tank, 2" for DN 50). DN 32 internal thread to DN 50 plastic pipe coupling is available as an accessory
  • Concrete cover accessory for pedestrianized areas or where there is vehicular traffic. The tank can be fitted with a plastic lockable lid where installations are removed from all forms of traffic such as garden flower beds
  • Level sensor and float kits available
  • Extension kit to suit deeper installation requirements
  • Ultrasonic level sensor and float kits available
  • Extension kit to suit deeper installation requirements
Key characteristics
Temperatures 40° C (maximum 60° C for five minutes)
Discharge sizes DN32 / DN50
Applications
  • Commercial waste disposal from toilets
Commercial wastewater from toilets comprises all sewage water flushed from toilets on commercial, industrial or public properties.

  • Domestic waste disposal from toilets
Domestic wastewater from toilets comprises all sewage water flushed from toilets or residential properties.

  • Network pumping station
Network pumping stations collect municipal wastewater from residential homes and communal schemes. Installed in dry or wet wells, the pumps deliver the effluent to a terminal pumping station. Since most pumping stations are not equipped with screens, the pumps must cope with difficult materials such as fibrous sanitary and packaging items.

  • Pressurized systems
Pressurized sewage systems are well suited to outlying locations such as holiday areas and coastal regions, where there may be no direct access to local gravity-based systems. They can also provide an economical alternative to gravity sewers, since they involve smaller pipeline diameters and less excavation.
