Sulzer is further extending its upstream product portfolio for advanced gas, oil, produced water and sand separation and processing applications. We focus on designing and supplying our full technology and application portfolio to upstream customers worldwide.

cMIST™ Compact Gas Dehydration — cMIST™ is a novel, compact dehydration system for reducing size and weight for onshore and offshore applications. It is licensed from ExxonMobil Upstream Research Compay (EMURC) to Sulzer.

sep viec iphase — Vessel internal electrostatic coalescer VIEC™, is a technology for enhancing liquid-liquid separation by using alternating high voltage electrical fields.

Sulzer employee testing the HiPer TwinLine™ Separator — The Sulzer HiPer TwinLine is a compact inline separator designed for removing liquid from gas (separator/scrubber design) or gas from liquid (degasser design) in two stages. It can be used as stand-alone unit or in combination with conventional separators and scrubbers as a hybrid design.

HiPer™ Bulk Deoiler Hydrocyclone installed — The HiPer (bulk) deoiler hydrocyclones are based on a novel swirl generation method called MixedFlow. Available in multiple sizes and geometries, they are designed to meet performance requirements across a wide inlet oil concentration range, from percentage down to low double digit ppm levels.

HiPer™ Desander and HiPer™ Desander Hydrocyclone to remove sand an solids — The compact inline HiPer desander, used a standalone or in combination with a HiPer desander hydrocyclone, provides continuous removal of sand and solids which protects downstream equipment from unwanted accumulation and erosion by the sand.

Nowhere is the advantage of inline separation greater than for subsea processing.

wash tank total — The wash tank oil processing system, licensed from Total to Sulzer, enhances the removal of water, salt, and contaminants from oil and emulsions, by a controlled distribution of the feed into the bottom of a hull tank of an FPSO/FSO/FPU. Benefits are maximized by an early concept selection of the technology, with topsides weight reduction up to 3000 tons (reported on 2 projects).
