Feed inlet devices

We offer a variety of feed inlet devices. To choose the appropriate equipment, the required purpose of the feed inlet device has to be taken into account. Vapor distribution, liquid pre-separation, foam suppression, breaking of momentum or any combination of these phenomena have to be addressed.

Sulzer feed inlet devices provide an effective solution for vapor or gas distribution, and can solve liquid entrainment problems in many types of equipment such as:

GIRZ cyclonic inlet device
The Sulzer GIRZ is a cyclonic inlet device that is used to suppress and break many types of process foams. Some typical applications include free water knock-out drums, flash drums, test separators, and 2 and 3-phase production separators.
Shell Schoepentoeter™ inlet device
Shell Schoepentoeter™ and Schoepentoeter™ Plus
The Schoepentoeter™ is a proprietary Shell vane type inlet device that is used to introduce gas/liquid mixtures into a vessel or column. The Schoepentoeter™ Plus is an advanced vane feed inlet device with significantly improved de-entrainment efficiency.
